WHO IS REBECCA?
Recognized as an icon in endurance sports, Rebecca Rusch is a seven-time world champion, two-time Hall of Fame athlete, Emmy Award–winning storyteller, best-selling author, podcast host and mental health advocate who’s journey of resilience and leadership inspires teams and individuals to embrace an athlete’s mindset, pursue their own personal podiums, and redefine peak performance.
Known as the Queen of Pain for her dominance in ultra-endurance sports, she has spent over three decades redefining what’s possible across mountain biking, adventure racing, climbing, and paddling. Her achievements include multiple course records at the Leadville 100 MTB, the Iditarod Trail Invitational, summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro by bike, and becoming the first person to ride the entire 1,200-mile Ho Chi Minh Trail.
Her Emmy Award–winning film Blood Road chronicles her deeply personal quest to locate the crash site of her father, a Vietnam War pilot—an experience that transformed personal grief into a mission of healing, connection, and service. That same spirit drives her nonprofit, the Be Good™ Foundation, which leverages the bicycle to heal individuals and communities by removing unexploded bombs in war-affected regions, fostering connection, and creating global impact.
Rebecca’s mission extends beyond her athletic achievements. Following her own battle with a concussion, she has become a dedicated advocate for mental health, using her platform to encourage others to confront challenges with courage and resilience. As host of the podcast What’s the Rusch, she leads powerful conversations with high performers about shedding the armor we wear to reveal the strength beneath. As founder of the Athlete Operating System (AOS), she also equips individuals and organizations with a proven framework to merge the mindset of athletes and entrepreneurs—unlocking resilience, purpose, and peak performance in any arena.
Recognized as one of the Top 40 women in Sport by Outside and one of The 50 Most Influential People in American Cycling, she is the only athlete to be inducted into both the Mountain Bike and Gravel Cycling Halls of Fame. Whether inspiring from the stage, consulting on peak performance, or advocating for mental and physical health, Rebecca brings unparalleled passion, wisdom, and grit, making her one of today’s most compelling voices in resilience and personal growth.
