1350km across Morocco

A Return to Play,
A Ride for Good

MY RETURN TO PLAY

Atlas Mountain Race

I’m about to set out on the Atlas Mountain Race—a 1,300-kilometer bikepacking journey across Morocco. It’s been five years since I’ve taken on something this big, and honestly, just getting to the start line feels like a quiet victory. This race isn’t about chasing a podium or breaking records. It’s about finding my way back to adventure after a long season of recovery, and sharing the trail with my husband, Greg. I’m also riding with a purpose: to help more girls discover what’s possible for them through the Be Good Foundation’s Girls Mentorship program. I’d love for you to follow along, be part of the story, and help us raise funds and make a difference one mile at a time.

TEAM BE GOOD

Greg and I are riding as Team Be Good, and every mile we cover is dedicated to something bigger than ourselves. We’re raising funds to expand the Be Good Foundation’s Girls’ Mentorship Program. This year we are expanding the program to include three tracks: Ride/Racing, Bike Mechanic, and Creative Mentorship.

Our goal is to help more young women discover confidence, community, and the freedom that comes from riding a bike. Your support helps us open doors and create lasting change for the next generation of women in cycling.

GIRLS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The best way you can cheer me on is by helping me create a bigger impact. Your donation goes directly to the Be Good Foundation’s mentorship program—empowering girls and young riders to find their strength and sense of belonging through cycling.

Please donate and help me make every mile count.

ROUTE INFORMATION

ABOUT THE RACE

Snow capped peaks and lunar landscapes are criss-crossed by broken roads and remote colonial pistes, setting the stage for an epic adventure through the Atlas Mountains. The route is a 1,350km network of lines that weave their way over high passes, scorched plains, and remote oases, along some of the most gruelling terrain in Morocco. The Atlas Mountain Race is a fixed route, unsupported, single-stage cycling race that starts in Beni-Mellal, crosses the Moroccan Atlas before taking riders through the Anti-Atlas and on to Essaouira.

The clock does not stop and there are no prizes. The route follows gravel, single and double track and old colonial pistes that have long been forgotten and fallen into disrepair. There is very little tarmac. There is some walking, and at times there is great distances between resupply points. The exact distance and elevation vary from year to year, but riders can expect approximately 1350km in distance, 25,000m of climbing and 8 days to complete the route.
