Hello!

My name is David Wanczyk. I'm a freelance writer from Ohio, and I'm writing an article on the 24-hour race in Moab, UT. coming up in October.

The reason I'm writing to you is that I'm hoping I can expand the article into a larger piece about the sport in general, so I was wondering if you'd be willing to do a phone or email interview with me in the coming weeks.

I got your name from my friend, Sarah Kaufmann, who thought you'd be able to offer a good perspective.

I'm particularly interested in the mental aspect and the pain of racing. I think readers will be drawn to the fact that this is an extreme outlay of energy and not something that they could do themselves. But, beyond that, I'm open to any good stories or reflections about 24-hour racing.

If you're swamped right now, no problem. If you're not, I'd love to chat!

Thanks,
Dave
