Hi Rebecca, I am your mom’s cousin, Teri. I met you once at the pool in Marin. My mom(Millie) was your grandma’s(my Aunt Flo) sister. I admire your athletic prowess so much!
My husband is a cyclist. I am a chubby Judo player(33 years!). We are both curious about what your training diet is. That’s our question!

One more thing….I found a magazine at the gym in Santa Cruz that had your picture on the front. I picked up several copies. (This was quite a few years ago.) I’d like to send them to you or your mom. The picture is really cool…huge really…and I recognized you instantly, which is pretty amazing since we haven’t spent that much time together.
I really enjoyed reading your letter today. You’re a fine writer, my dear, as well as an inspiring athlete, both traits I admire a lot, as I, too, am a competitor, as well as an English teacher and writer.
Our question revolves around training diet….but I also have some thyroid issues making me pack on weight in spite of my training. Any suggestions?
