Not only are the people at Suunto incredible, their products are unrivaled. I use the Suunto T6D, and here’s why.

  2. You get to use some of the most badass equipment on the planet, what a lucky person you are. Thanks for sharing in your monthly giveaways too. That new bike will make a true mountain bike chick very w… Hope you have a great season and I am very jealous.

I use a mac, works fine.

  4. Hey Rebecca – Great review, thanks. I agree, Suunto stuff is great. One question, do you swim when cross-training? I’ve been trying to find online what people do with the altimeter readings when the watch is used for instance in a triathlon — as the arm goes under water at higher pressure, the watch reads a vertical descent of ~200m per stroke, followed by a similar ascent. Not a biggie, but I’m wondering if its something that can be turned off on the watch, or that can be changed later on the movescount website.

Great review, thanks! I may actually buy one of these soon!

What do you mean: works fine with a MAC ? Only if you use Movenscount, which I think sucks for a good analysis of your moves. And than Suunto refers to Firstbeat, but that doesn’t work with a MAC.

  7. Rebecca says:

I totally agree with you that Movescount isn’t the best user interface for analysis. That’s why I’ve switched to Garmin this year and am using Garmin Connect, Training Peaks with my CTS coach and Strava for a bit of fun competition. I prefer all of these to Movescount.
