Do you prefer to go hard and race right at the front from the start and hold on or do you prefer to attack from the back?
A: I would prefer to always be in front and never see another soul, but really, that doesn’t happen that often. There are too many other fast people out there with the same idea. Basically, I have to race my own race and deal with the situations as they come up. In Leadville, I was in 5th place at mile 25 and did not take the lead until nearly ½ way through. The competition was fierce and super close. That sort of a win was really rewarding because I did have to work super hard for it.
