I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July weekend, and is all rested up for the second half of summer. I spent the weekend racing in Breckenridge at the USA Marathon Nationals. The Firecracker 50 is a awesome race at high altitude with the heavy hitters in cross country in attendance. I managed a 6th place finish, and I am happy with that result considering the competition. Plus it was a awesome high altitude training day! Here are some results and pictures to look through. But on to the fun stuff.

In your opinion, what happened with adventure racing. It was so popular from 95′ to 05′ then crapped out at least in the northwest. What’s up?
heyy…do u guys all drink red bull before you actually race or whatever…cos i tried it right..went pure crazyyy too much sugar to even concentrate best run of my life though ha!
Hey, I’ve got another question for you. We are the same age and I’ve been an athlete since being a kid. I wanted to know how you deal with the pains that come with age, like the back, legs and feet. Thanks a lot!
When you do a 24 hour race, what is it that keeps you on your bike from say 1AM to 4AM, as that seems to be the time in a 24 hour race that I have a hard time keeping my butt on my seat? Do you ever ride with an i-pod, or anything else to distract yourself? I really like riding with my i-pod on low, so I can hear other racers, but USA cycling does not allow it.
